Homemade Peanut Butter!

My daughter got to make this recipe today for her math. She is learning fractions and multiplying and counting by 2's (peanuts in shells). It was a fun lesson and the kids really liked this all natural peanut butter.
1 cup shelled peanuts
1 tsp canola oil
Mix in food processor or blender until smooth. It doesn't get smooth really, but you'll know when it is done. It's a little chunky, but not big chunks. We doubled the recipe and had some leftover for tomorrow's snack.

Hi, Jamie! I've always wanted to try this, but haven't. Did it taste good? We usually buy organic or all natural without sugar & salt added. However, I'm sure that what we buy is probably smoother. My oldest does like crunchy, so he probably wouldn't mind.

Hi Suzie, not sure if you will check back, but it was smoother than crunchy peanut butter you'd buy. It did taste good, but we used salted in the shell peanuts. The kids loved it and it was pretty fun to make.
